Hound / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed)
Maeve was surrendered to Paw Placement by a loving owner who wasn't able to give her the home she deserves. Maeve showed just how resilient she is, and has continued to thrive in her foster home. Maeve loves to romp, run and play with other dogs of all sizes. She'll do well in a home with playful and friendly dogs. She also has yet to meet a human she doesn't immediately love, and would do well with children old enough to hold their own when she inevitably leaps on them in glee! Maeve is goofy, energetic, good natured, easy going, silly, outgoing, active and playful. She has high prey drive, can leap over baby gates easily, has been known to steal food from counters, chews antlers and benebones for hours, loves to cuddle up under the blankets, takes treats gently. Maeve is very receptive to a strong leader; she sits politely for her meals and waits to be invited out of her crate. She has not been cat tested. Maeve is crate and house trained in her foster home. She's looking for a home with a yard; she is not appropriate for an apartment setting. Maeve is still learning her leash manners and will require an owner willing to work on her leash skills. Maeve is a hound mix, and would do best with a 'hound human' who will not be annoyed by her frequent baying! If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. We will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
