Valerie's short life has been hard. Her first owner would use her to "mop the floor" or "would fling her against the wall" according to the witness who rescued poor Val from the abuse. And not surprisingly, Valerie did not escape unscathed and is partially blind in one eye as a result of head trauma. Valerie has suffered much at the hands of humans and her forever home must be a quiet one with no dogs and where there are no children. Valerie is already coming out of her shell in the Center. She actively seeks out kind petting hands and will roll over and over to make sure she gets all the attention she can get while filling PETsMART will purrs surprisingly loud for such a tiny body. She remains shy of sudden movements and loud noises, but recovers from her fear quickly when a kind voice reassures her that she is totally safe. |
