Poor little Candy sat alone in her kennel at Animal Care & Control -- she had no idea that her time was almost up because she was listed for euthanasia the following morning. Candy shyly watched people from the back of her kennel, only approaching to be petted after a volunteer crouched to her level. Upon entering the kennel with Candy and talking to her gently (ok...it was baby talk) she jumped up on my lap and layed her head on my shoulder and hugged me. It was the most amazing feeling to know that this little girl had that much trust in a stranger even though her previous owners had given up on her for snapping at the child in the home. Candy couldn't be sweeter and is very submissive. She will roll over and expose her belly when you go to pet her too fast. Candy is currently in foster care with Paw Placement's Bruno and kitties. Because she was hours away from loosing her life due to the fact that her previous owners turned her in for snapping at a child, we will not allow her be put in a situation like that ever again. Therefore, Candy will have to go to a home where the children are over the age of 13. Candy is a wonderful, sweet, and loving dog and will make a great addition to someone's home. She will thrive on daily walks, car rides, and trips to the doggie park.
