Pure Bred Red/White Australian Shephard

Casey was found wandering around a Tempe parking lot. Fortunately for him, the parking lot he roamed was one where two Paw Placement volunteers worked!! Casey is a beautiful dog with a very sweet demeanor. Both of his eyes are sparkling Aussie blue (so gorgeous, in fact, that one volunteer wanted to call this dog Sinatra). But "Casey" seemed to better fit this laid-back, well-behaved dog. Casey is very accepting of other dogs and appears to be fine around cats, so long as proper introduction tactics are taken. Once Casey is comfortable in his home setting, he will be the ideal family dog. It is important that all members in the household be old enough to have impulse control. Casey is not at all aggressive but he is frisky in the mornings and tends to want to play a little bit roughly. Australian Shepherds are typically energetic, intelligent dogs who appreciate active humans willing to make them part of family activities. Casey will make a great walking companion and will definitely appreciate advanced training. He already knows sit, down, paw and wait, as well as being an ace at using the doggy door! Although energetic, Casey is not hyper -- his gentle nature and incredible intelligence promises that he will be a friend to love for a lifetime.
