Unknown breed / mixed (long coat) : : Male : : Senior : : Large Husky Mix
Hi dog lovers and new friends. I'm sweet Charlie. I've heard that I'm a husky mix and that there is 90 lbs of me to love. Yes, I know I should lose weight but I love to eat. I'm a good house dog. I know all the rules - potty outside, don't jump on furniture or people, don't bark unless someone comes to the door or the other dogs in the house do, sleep in my bed all night, love you everyday, always be happy to see you, etc. , Sit, Down, Shake, Drop, Come & This Way are some of the words I understand very well. Toys that squeak are the best & I'll retrieve stuffed animals as long as you want to throw them (but not balls). It's been said that I'm almost perfect & I'm sure my foster mom is right. By the way I'm 5 years young & love to have my belly rubbed. , , My fosters call me Charlie Brown - not because I'm slow, oh my no - I'm very sharp, but because of my pretty reddish brown color. I'm into peace & harmony & don't fight with other dogs. There is a dog at this house with attitude (alpha) but most of the time when she snarls at me, I don't snarl back. We never fight. I do talk loud sometimes when she tries to take toys out of my mouth. I went to a park one day where there were many dogs. It was great fun to run around with so many new friends. , , I love to go for walks & like to ride in the car & can be trusted in the car (if you need to stop at a store). I wait when you open the door for you to hook me - I want to go wherever you are. I pull a little bit on a leash but walk like a dream when I wear a Halti (face harness). If I see a squirrel or chipmunk you better hold on as I find them irresistible. , , If you have a cat that isn't afraid of dogs I'll do fine with it - there is a boring one like that in this house. On the other hand if you have scardy cats - the kind that run away & puff up to the size of basketballs & hiss; those kind I think I should chase. My foster mom doesn't think I would hurt the cat if I caught it, but it would be safest to keep me & the cat apart until they stop being afraid of me. I do best with older kids. Homes with children under 7 years of age will not be considered. , Life is good here but I'd really like to have a family of my own (I had one but they moved and didn't take me). I'd like to live with another dog but not one with a bunch of attitude. If my new family doesn't come and get me before May 5th, I'll be going to a park called Wheeler in Flagstaff where there will be many dogs. I'd love to meet you (especially if you'll give me a belly rub). Must run it's time to eat - Hurray! More about Charlie - FlagstaffGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
