About Captain

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 2026
Get ready world, as Captain will eat you out of house and home! Although little Cappy is only 25 pounds now he is also only 3 months old and has the biggest bear paws for feet! Please make sure that you are ready for this boy to easily reach 100 pounds plus...he is a little eating machine!, Captain got off to a rocky start and although he can not talk, his body has the marks to prove it...but fear not, he holds no grudges and his heart is loving and trusting. A deep scar on his elbow is healing and what happened we do not know, but it must have really hurt. We do know that he spent several days wandering the streets begging for food before someone finally picked him up and called PawPlacement....What a shock as I heard that I needed to immediately go pick up a 30 pound dog so I was expecting a female pit mix but what do I find instead a 25 pound baby boy who is full of puppy wiggles! Cappy is so eager to love cats, dogs, kids you name it as he is convinced that the world is full of friends...oh yes and food too! He is a BABY so of course he is working on his house training so remember before you apply to have a plan in place as he needs to go out to potty every three hours! The rule for pups is the bladder can hold 1 hour per month of age and this guy is a YOUNG three months...like 12 weeks is probably a better bet as of 9/22/07! , Little Cappy LOVES to be held will plops himself in your lap every chance he gets which is great as this will soon be a thing of the past as we are literally watching him grow! He is a typical Newf in that he is laid back, full of love and he LOVES water,,,,wherever he can play in it he does and he will happily walk through his water bowl, sit in his water bowl, and play in his water bowl!, Before you apply for this true bundle of love PLEASE make sure you are ready for a BIG Newfie boy! Cappy wants a forever home where all of his love and trust will come back to him a 100 times over. He will be a BIG dog so be ready...also please make sure that he will fit into your plans and all changes life may toss your way. If you move, change jobs, add to your family whatever Captain is depending on you to make him a part of your plans for the next 10 to 15 years!
