Domestic Short Hair : : Female : : Senior Black Domestic Shorthair
Kata is now a beautiful big shiny haired green eyed beauty. She has come along way from the day we first saw each other...she was a very thin kitty trying to care for five little babies outside on her own. She did not move the babies up to my home until they were too old to work with to get them used to humans. Kata has always been a lover and would run to be picked up. She was thin and had a pellet gun shot in her side but I could do nothing for her besides provide food and shelter as she had 5 babies depending on her until the day she moved them up to my home. With the help on several neighbors one hot August night we managed to catch all the babies and then I scooped up Kata and moved the whole crew into a spare bedroom. All were spayed/neutered and give shots but despite working with the babies for 5 months they wanted nothing to do with humans BUT Kata was another story she loved attention! Once the pellets were removed from her side by the vet and she had nothing to do but be an indoor kitty she started to gain weight and her coat became shiny and glossy. In spite of living on the streets Kata loves being an indoor kitty. She is now ready to find her forever family that will give her a home of her own where she will remain indoors with plenty of love the rest of her life! Kata is used to sharing a room with other kitties and roomed with another Paw Placement foster, Angel, for months! She is a very quiet and gentle big girl who just loves to curl up under the covers
