Have you been looking for the "perfect" dog to fit in with your family? Have you thought you had found him and then discovered he really wasn't "the one"? Well, look no more. Percy is absolutely awesome in every way. He was found near death huddled under a tree by a rescuer from another organization. He immediately took him to the vet, where it was decided poor Percy had probably been hit by a car and left for dead. He had so many cuts and scrapes, but luckily no broken bones. He was very much malnourished. After a couple weeks at the vet and boarding, little Percy came to his foster home. He was shy at first, but quickly warmed up to everyone. In a short time he learned the doggy door (we don't think he had ever been an inside dog). He absolutely loves everyone, and everyone who has met him has adored him. His foster mom says "he is the sweetest, most gentle dog we have ever fostered". He loves kids and gives anyone who gets close enough kisses, and more kisses. He has no bad habits that we have found. Percy is not able to see out of his right eye, but gets along fine without it. The eye specialist believes it is either a birth defect or an old injury, but says it should be fine just to leave it. I put salve in his eye every day that seems to help the redness. I guarantee if you meet Percy, you will love him as much as we do. He would make a great addition to any family.
