Domestic Short Hair (short coat) : : Male : : Senior Bengal Tabby
Going into Animal Care & Control is always a bittersweet experience for volunteers. We leave the facility happy that we were able to save lives, but carrying with us the faces of the cats who won't make it out alive. We can only save so many. Olive and Pickles are two very very lucky kitties. AC&C staff begged us to take these kitties. They were shy in their kennel and not showing well. The staff knew that hours counted with these animals. We entered the kennel and discovered that the scared cats were oh-so loving. Cats are creatures of space and when frightened do not show their wonderfully sweet personalities. Any potential adopters at AC&C would just walk by. Olive and Pickles are now having their egos stroked by volunteers and they are responding with magnificent purrs. Sometimes, all it takes it a kind voice, a cushy bed and big bowl of wet food. Pickles and Olive are very bonded and we would love to see them adopted together, but we do not require it. More about PicklesGood with Dogs, Good with Cats
