Petunia was a bright little flower in the dark kennels of Animal Care & Control. We heard her before we saw her. As if she sensed the end was near for her, she yelped for help. "SAVE ME SAVE ME SAVE ME!" she said. Did she know she was scheduled to be euthanized in a few short hours? One volunteer walked to her kennel and said, "OK! We will take you with us." Even though we had no extra space, we made room for this small little angel. Petunia is quite social. She is a chatty little flower for such a small cat and will let you know, "I Matter! I Matter!" whenever you forget. She certainly let us know. Petunia wants to be held all the time. She is a cat who pets you back with whole body hugs.
