Pure-bred tonkinese

Pearl and Velvet's owner was an elderly lady who recently passed away. Both of her children were allergic to cats so they took their mother's beloved pets to the pound. It's not everyday that you see pure-bred mink-coat tonkinese in the pound. Pearl and Velvet were terrified! We knew that both were accustomed to a very pampered life. And that this was the last place their human mom would have wanted her children to take her cats after she passed away. Pearl is a Platinum Mink Tonkinese and Velvet is a Champagne Mink Tonkinese. They are litter mates and are extremely bonded. Pearl is the more outgoing of the two - she loves to explore and is quite affectionate. It takes Velvet a little longer to come around. But she responds to patience and gentle-petting. Once both girls feel secure, they are amazingly affectionate. It will only take Pearl a few days to settle in but Velvet will need a little bit longer. We want both kitties to go to a quiet home with no young children. Pearl and Velvet would love a home where all humans are old enough to have impulse control and where there are plenty of laps in which to languish.
