Chihuahua

Pedro was just skin and bones in his kennel at Animal Care & Control. He was extremely frightened and couldn't control his shaking. When people walked by his kennel he ran to the back of it. "Hi little guy," we whispered to him. He lowered his head but looked up, scared but receoptive to kindness. We went into his kennel. He backed away but stretched his head to lick our hands. Once we had him in the car, it took minutes for Pedro's fear to subside. He cuddled with us, leaning in as close as he could. His ribs and spine stuck out. It was apparant that this little guy had never been properly loved. Well, that changed! In foster care, Pedro has a doggy sister he loves.but can be nippy with strange dogs. He is fed a nutritional diet and prances when he goes for walks. Pedro is house-trained and sooo endearing. Because of his small size, we ask that he go to a home where all humans are old enough to have impulse control. We have never observed him around cats/kids Pedro is a gentle spirit who requires a doting human(s) in need of a lap dog and love bug!
