Unknown breed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Medium German Shepherd Dog
Koa was found in a garbage dumpster. A kind soul brought her to Paw Placement, just in time for her to be admitted to the hospital with parvo. Luckily, Koa (meaning warrior) proved to be the fighter we'd hoped she would be, and she bounced back with supportive care very quickly, even making our vet wonder if the test had given a false positive. Despite this, Koa is currently spending her designated recovery time in her loving foster home. Koa loves to play with her furry foster sibling and her young human foster siblings. Koa is mastering her crate and house training in her foster home, however, as with all young puppies, she'll require lots of continued training in her forever home including crate, house and potty training and, perhaps most importantly, lots of continued socialization. Koa is looking for an experienced and active household - she is a strong breed that requires a knowledgeable owner. Koa is happy, outgoing, playful, energetic, eager to please and affectionate. Koa has not had any symptoms since being released from the hospital and she will be ready for adoption on 12/3/2016., We are currently accepting applications for Koa. We will be in touch with the best suited candidates during the week of 11/28-12/2/16 to schedule a meet and greet for Saturday, December 3. If you'd like to bring a puppy home just in time for the holidays, please complete an adoption application! More about KoaGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
