Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed)
The Soda Pop Pups were born in a Paw Placement foster home after their momma, Shasta, was rescued from a life living outside, birthing litter after litter, in northern AZ. These puppies have experienced nothing but love during their lifetime and are, therefore, friendly, confident and happy babies! These pups will be ready for adoption on January 5, 2021. Fanta is the only female of the litter and the largest puppy. She's confident, spunky, affectionate, intelligent, energetic and outgoing. She looks very much like a shepherd mix, and she's likely a mix of many different breeds. Momma Shasta has a short, soft coat like a lab, and likely has some herding breed in her; she weighs about 60 pounds. Dad is unknown. These pups require a home with a yard; they are not appropriate for an apartment/condo setting. A note from foster mom: Fanta is always the most excited for human affection...and adventures.. and food... and toys... and honestly anything for the first five seconds until she gets a little control over her ADHD. Ironically enough, this aspect of her personality is coupled with a bit of tunnel vision, often leading her to trample over her siblings and plow through any obstacles in her way, without hesitation, to get to me (or anything she wants) when she wants to. Since the day she was born, she been a beast and she’s worn it well... she’s the biggest puppy in the litter, both in size and in character. She’s got a bit of attitude with her some days.. I’ll jokingly refer to her as my “do not disturb when sleeping” pup or my “hangry issues” pup from time to time, but it’s all in good fun on both ends. Above all else, she’s a furry goofball with enough love to go around! Please note: socializing dogs, especially young dogs, is critical to their development. Puppies need to have positive experiences with new people, places, sounds, dogs on a WEEKLY basis to ensure they do not grow into insecure, fearful or even aggressive adult dogs. Please consider this when adopting during this pandemic. Socialization is currently more difficult, but it isn't any less important, so please be sure you can fulfill this need in a new dog before committing to adopt. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application. Because we are still understaffed due to COVID19, we will only be able to email those applicants that are approved to schedule a meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you don't hear back from us regarding your application.
